April 2026
An AI assistant you can talk to, time-based resource pricing, commission markup on costs, and expanded dashboard and search options.
Highlights
AI Chat Assistant
EventWorks now has a built-in AI assistant. You can ask it questions about your events, contacts, accounts, and more in plain English — and get answers from your live data instantly. The assistant panel sits alongside your workspace, can be resized to suit your screen, and keeps a conversation history so you can follow up naturally.
This is an early release of a capability we’ll be building on throughout the year.
AI-Powered Reporting
You can ask the AI assistant to run simple reports for you. Try questions like “What’s our revenue by month?” or “How many events do we have in each status?”. The assistant queries your data and summarises the results in the conversation.
Time-Based Resource Pricing
You can now schedule future prices for any resource. When the resource is allocated to an event, EventWorks automatically applies the price that was in effect on the event’s start date — so price changes don’t affect historical bookings. The resource edit page shows all scheduled price tiers with Active, Future, and Past badges for easy management.
Commission Markup on Costs
A new “Add as markup to price” toggle on cost lines lets you treat commission as a price markup. When enabled, the quote displays a “Base + Commission” breakdown so clients can see exactly how the total is calculated. This works for both individual cost edits and bulk updates.
AI Usage Dashboard
Settings now includes an AI Usage page showing your real token consumption. You can see how many tokens you’ve used in the current 4-hour rolling window and the weekly window, along with progress bars and reset times. This makes it easy to understand your usage patterns and stay within limits.
Search and Dashboard Improvements
- Contact filter on event search — You can now filter events by contact, making it easier to find all events associated with a particular person.
- Multiple venue statuses in dashboard widgets — Dashboard widgets that filter by venue status now support selecting multiple statuses at once.
Purchase Order Improvements
- PO numbers on cost lines — PO numbers now appear on associated event cost lines when set on purchase orders, making it easier to trace which costs are linked to which purchase orders.
- Editable PO numbers — You can now edit PO numbers directly on cost lines. A new setting lets you disable automatic sync from purchase orders if you prefer to enter PO numbers manually.
Reporting and Export Improvements
- Venue report updates — The venue report has been improved with better formatting.
- Event venues export — The account-level event venues export has been enhanced.
V2 API: Expanded Endpoint Coverage
The V2 API has grown significantly this month with new endpoints covering event dates, venue links, packages, resources, contacts, companies, staff, line items, settings management, and more. All new endpoints follow the same consistent filtering, sorting, and pagination conventions introduced last month.
